FocusShares Launches 15 New ETFs Linked to Morningstar® Indexes on NYSE Arca
On March 30, 2011, NYSE Euronext (NYX) made an official announcement in New York that FocusShares, LLC, has proceeded to launch 15 further fresh exchange traded funds on NYSE Arca. The FocusTM Morningstar ETFs have been referenced to indexes which are licensed by Morningstar, Inc. Furthermore, they represent the first batch of investment products that have been sponsored by the company since it was acquired in 2010 by its present owners, Scottrade Financial Services, Inc.
On this occasion, Laura Morrison, who heads NYSE Euronext US ETF listings and trading, said “We are pleased that FocusShares selected our platform to bring their new ETFs to market.” She then further said “We believe their listing choice underscores the value of the consultative services, market structure and technology that NYSE Arca provides its issuers and the ETF marketplace.”
